Sept 21st Praise that we don’t want to hear 쓴 소리 복음
“Now, son of man, take a block of clay, put it in front of you and draw the city of Jerusalem on it. Then lay siege to it: Erect siege works against it, build a ramp up to it, set up camps against it and put battering rams around it. Then take an iron pan, place it as an iron wall between you and the city and turn your face toward it. It will be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This will be a sign to the people of Israel. “Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the people of Israel upon yourself. You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side. I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the people of Israel. “After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the people of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year. Turn your face toward the siege of Jerusalem and with bared arm prophesy against her. I will tie you up with ropes so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have finished the days of your siege. (Ezekiel 4:1-8 NIV)
- As believers in Christ, and mouth of God we need to spread the word that the world will eventually end: Ezekiel 4:1 shows and visualizes the situation Jerusalem was in at the point. And then it goes on to explain detailed on how they were surrounded. God directed Ezekiel to tell the people of Jerusalem that their country will go into ruins. And in fact through three attacks Jerusalem was in ruins. No matter how they tried to prevent it, God had already decided the fate of Jerusalem, and Ezekiel had the responsibility to speak to those in Jerusalem. It is definitely difficult to tell someone that they will fail, that they will die, that they will not survive. And those that listen to it won’t take it nicely. However, God has clearly shown the blueprint to the world ending so we need to let everyone know no matter how they recieve it.
- As believers in Christ, and mouth of God we need to judge each person strictly: When you look at Ezekiel 4:5-8 it shows what kind of punishment they will recieve. What we need to concentrate on is verse 7. In verse 7 it sates that we as believers in Christ need use all our strength to let everyone know. No matter how we act and we pretend to be nice to people, God knows exactly how we think and how we truly feel. It is definitely difficult to tell someone that they are sinners in front of God, but it must be said. And we must let them know that through Christ all our sins can be solved.
