Sept 7th 들었으면 일어나라 ‘If you have listened, arise’

He said to me, “Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.” As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me. He said: “Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day. The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious people—they will know that a prophet has been among them. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. (‭Ezekiel‬ ‭2‬:‭1-7‬ NIV)

There is a documentary about firemen in America. In 2001 pentagon and World Trade Center were attacked by terrorist, and during that time firemen and rescue men risked their lives in orde to save as many people as they can. Emergency rescue men take shifts of 12 hours a day between two people. The reason for constant 24hr watch is because a persons life is determined by seconds.
When we look at today’s scripture we can see that God tells Ezekiel to get up, but he shakes in fear and surprise. What we can see is that the Holy Spirit lifts him up and guides him to do the work of God.
  1. As rescue men of God we need to rescue those in need: What we can see from today’s scripture is that the people of Israel have become betrayers of Christ. The reason for that is because they have sinned in front of God. Bigger sin to that is the fact they they would not accept their sin and acted as if they had not done anything. People of Israel rejected that God existed. Even when the people of Israel rejected God, God didn’t give up on them because God wanted to use them to rescue those that don’t believe in God. Those that say they live their life to the fullest and best even without Christ are those that are blind to the truth. In the scripture who is the one that changes those that needs saving? It is Ezekiel. In today’s world who has the job to be the firemen the rescue squad of God? It is us. We need to become Ezekiel of today. If you have listened, get up. Get up and spread the word of God. Save those in need.
  2. Those that spread the word of God don’t faulter by the respond of those that listen: We need to spread no matter how the respond of those people are. It doesn’t matter whether they listen or don’t listen but it is important that we have spread the word of God (Ezekiel 2:6-7). Ezekiel didn’t faulter in any situation, even when his life was at danger. He looked and leaned on God alone. People of today should not worry about how they accept. If we just give up because we think they would not listen it is going against word of God. It shouldn’t matter how many people you have spread the word of God but it is the effort. If there are no one to spread the word of God, it means they don’t get the chance to be saved.
