침례교 신앙과 메시지, 2000

THE BAPTIST FAITH AND MESSAGE, 2000

2000년 6월 14일, 남침례회는 우리 신앙의 수정된 요약을 채택했습니다. 위원회의 보고서의 한 부분에서 다음과 같이 말합니다:

침례교인들은 종교적 자유를 소중히 여기고 수호하며, 교회나 교회 단체에 신앙 고백을 강요하는 세속적 또는 종교적 권위의 권리를 부인합니다. 우리는 그리스도 안에서 우리의 자유와 하나님의 말씀 아래서 서로에 대한 우리의 책임을 함께 확인하면서 영혼 능력의 원칙과 신자들의 제사장됨을 존중합니다.

각 지역의 침례교회와 지방회 및 총회는 세상에 대한 증언으로 또한 교리적 책임의 도구로서 이 신앙 고백을 채택했습니다. 우리는 이것들이 우리가 소중히 여기는 교리이며 신앙과 행습(실천)의 침례교 전통에 필수적인 교리임을 세상 앞에서 말하는 것을 부끄러워하지 않습니다.

On June 14th, 2000, the Southern Baptist Convention adopted a revised summary of our faith. The committee’s report says in part:

“Baptists cherish and defend religious liberty, and deny the right of any secular or religious authority to impose a confession of faith upon a church or body of churches. We honor the principles of soul competency and the priesthood of believers, affirming together both our liberty in Christ and our accountability to each other under the Word of God.

Baptist churches, associations, and general bodies have adopted confessions of faith as a witness to the world, and as instruments of doctrinal accountability. We are not embarrassed to state before the world that these are doctrines we hold precious and as essential to the Baptist tradition of faith and practice.
